Pakistan's off-spin bowler Nauman ali has been declared 'Player of the Month' by the ICC for the month of October. He played an important role in helping pakistan win 2-1 by taking 20 wickets in the Test series against England. Nauman is the first Pakistani cricketer to receive this honor since august last year. Babar Azam became the Player of the Month in august last year.

Nauman ali has received this honor by defeating South Africa's Kagiso Rabada and New Zealand's Mitchell Santner. Rabada took 14 wickets in two Test matches against bangladesh in the month of October. On the other hand, Mitchell Santner played a Test against India, in which apart from taking 13 wickets, he also scored 37 runs in two innings.

20 wickets in two matches

Nauman ali played in the last 2 Test matches against England, where spin bowlers got a lot of help. He took a total of 11 wickets in the second Test match of the series played in Multan. He sent three english batsmen to the pavilion in the first innings and 8 in the second innings. Due to his strong performance, the pakistan team was tied 1-1 in the series. The third match of the series was played in Rawalpindi and here too Nauman ali wreaked havoc. This time too he took three wickets in the first innings, while in the second innings he took 6 wickets with his thumb.

Strong performance with the bat too

In the first innings of the third Test match of the series, pakistan lost 7 wickets at a score of 177. Nauman ali came to bat at the ninth position and played an important innings of 45 runs and shared an 88-run partnership with Saud Shakeel. Shakeel scored 134 runs in that innings. Due to this partnership, pakistan was able to take a lead of 77 runs in the first innings and the Pak team later won the match by 9 wickets. Nauman also scored 32 runs in the first innings of the second Test of the series. Apart from scoring 78 runs in three innings of the series against England, he also took 20 wickets.
