Asian Surfing: India's Ramesh Budhial shines, wins bronze medal in Asian Surfing

India's Ramesh Budhial won the bronze medal in the men's open category at the Asian Surfing championship here on Friday. In this way, he became the first indian player to win a medal in this competition.

In the open women's category, Japan's Anri Matsuno (14.90 points) won the gold medal by overcoming the tough challenge of compatriot Sumomo Sato (13.70). Isabel Higgs of thailand won the bronze medal with 11.76 points. Kanoa Heeje of Korea achieved a double success by winning the gold medal in the under-18 boys category with 14.33 points. Shidong Wu (13.10) and Shulou Jiang (8) of china won the silver and bronze medals, respectively.


In the under-18 girls category, Siqi Yang of china won the gold medal with 14.50 points, and her compatriot Shuhan Jin (10.33) won the silver medal. Isabel of thailand (8.10 points) won the bronze medal.
