Due to continuous heavy rains in Mumbai, the announcement of the indian team for Asia Cup on tuesday was delayed from its regular time. Team selection and press conference for Asia Cup 2025 was organized at bcci Headquarters, Mumbai. During this, on one hand the selection meeting was going on. On the other hand, ODI team captain rohit sharma made a special appeal.
According to reports, due to heavy rains and waterlogging on the roads, many bcci officials had difficulty reaching on time. Due to this, the press conference could not start at its scheduled time. However, bcci did not cancel it, but only changed the time. After some time, indian T20 team captain suryakumar yadav and chief selector Ajit Agarkar announced the team through a press conference.

Amidst all this, Rohit shared a story on his instagram and appealed to the people to stay safe and alert during the rain. Rohit wrote on his instagram story, "Everyone stay safe and take care of yourself."
