Chahal spinsout English team,India wins by 75 runs
India put up a allround show both with Bat and Ball to limit the English team to 127 runs and winning by 75runs thus taking the title. Chasing a huge target of 203 runs the visitors bowed before team India. Though England took of a good start..it could not keep up in the later stage of the game.
Sam billings was out for a duck in the very first ball that he data-faced from Chahal. Jason Roy (32) and Joe Root kept the score board moving at great pace before Roy falling a victim to the spinner Mishra. Captain Eoin Morgan started of his innings at brisk pace and scored 40 runs before falling to Chahal. Within few minutes Root (42) also became a prey for Chahal. Overall there were 5 duck outs in the England team.
In the Bowling department Chahal looked excellent with 6-25 his career best in T-20's and became the first ever Indian to take 5 wickets in T-20s Bumrah took 3 wickets while Mishra looked good with 1 wicket.
Earlier England won the toss and put the Men-In-Blue into bat. The England Bowlers succeeded once again in picking the wicket of the run machine Virat Kohli at a early stage in the form of a run out in the second over. Local boy K.L. Rahul (22) was joined by Suresh Raina. once after Raina settled he moved his bat freely. He scored befitting 65 runs of 45 balls which included 5 sixes and 2 fours. Raina kept scoring runs at brisk pace and maintained the run rate.
After K.L.Rahul was bowled by Stokes, Mr. Cool Dhoni joined the party. Dhoni started of his innings slowly and at once picked momentum. He scored his first T20 century. Dhoni scored 56 runs of 36 balls with 2 sixes and 5 fours before getting out to Chris Jordan. Yuvraj Singh (27) looked very impressive in the end overs. In the 18 th over that was bowled by Jordan, he hit 3 massive sixes and a four . And in the very next over he was tricked down by Mills with a slower delivery.
In the final over Hardik Pandya hit a six and took the score past the 200 run mark.Over all the team India boys put up a splendid show at the Chinna Swamy Stadium to clinch the T-20 series.
