Avatar sequels delayed and Director James Cameron promises that sequels will deliver
Hollywood production house Disney has revealed a huge unexpected restructuring of its release calendar because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and this includes the postponement of james Cameron’s long-awaited avatar sequels.
Avatar 2 was supposed to release in december of 2021 and has been postponed to december 16, 2022. avatar 3 moved from december 2023 to december 20, 2024, avatar 4 moved from december 2025 to december 18, 2026, and avatar 5 has been pushed to december 22, 2028.
Despite the postponements, Disney has been targeting a holiday release just as the 2009 original. Thanks to this delay, avatar 2 will release 13 years post the release of the first film. It must be noted that avatar 2 was supposed to release in 2014.
