Karthika Deepam is an indian telugu television series that airs on star maa starring premi viswanath and Paritala Nirupam. It is a remake of the malayalam television series Karuthamuthu aired on Asianet. The story revolves around a dark skinned girl who has to fight society and family pressures to lead a happy life. There is no special introduction needed for the serial. The women of the telugu states were connected to the serial in such a way that even it has been airing since 3 years, the people weren’t bored of it. Moreover no other serial in the television industry has got such a rating.
