Stranger Things Stars Open Up On Season 4 Age Gap Concerns
Stranger Things' first half of the two-part season will premiere on Netflix on May 27, closing the gap between seasons 3 and 4 to just over three years. Season 4's massive magnitude, as well as the Covid-19 outbreak, have caused delays. This season is expected to be twice as lengthy as previous Stranger Things seasons in terms of overall run time. Some of the stars of Stranger Things were as young as 12-years-old when it initially premiered. These same stars are no longer children, with ages ranging from 17 to 20, following three seasons and a three-year hiatus between episodes.
Matarazzo and Schnapp talk about their concerns about the Stranger Things age divide in an interview with TODAY. The issue is more serious than simply appearing aged from season to season. Because of the lengthy production of Season 4, the cast appears to be getting older from scene to scene. However, Matarazzo claims that they did a good job with it and that the ageing depicts the characters' transformational times.
