House Of The Dragon: Second Episode Kills The Hype

"House Of The Dragons," the prequel to the mega-popular cult tv series "Game Of Thrones," which now has the greatest viewership in the world, is one of the highly anticipated tv shows in recent memory. Even though the first episode of HOD didn't leave a lot of people impressed, the second episode further let everyone down with some weak screenplay.

GOT is well-known for its shocking moments, razor-sharp dialogue that gets to to the point, and the way each scene develops and ends. However, many anticipated that Princess Rhaenyra would show off her skills in the second HOD episode but instead she was only given a few sequences that lacked substance from a directing perspective.

King Viserys' choice to wed a 12-year-old child shows what life was like in the age of the Kingdoms, but it hasn't produced many surprises. But the true surprise came when he revealed that he would wed Alicent Hightower, Hand Otto's daughter, who also happens to be Rhaenyra's best friend.

The only visually striking part of the entire one-hour programme is the introduction of Crabfeeder, whose methods of torturing men by feeding them to crabs are terrible yet intriguing. The second episode of the show is paler than the premiere episode, which is understandable given that the show is entirely focused on dragons and has few "dracarys" moments.
