However, suddenly Rajesh Kumar left acting and made farming his profession. Now recently he revealed that when he decided to become a farmer, he had to go through a very difficult phase.
Rajesh Kumar was drowned in debt
Rajesh Kumar recently told siddharth Kannan in an interview that after leaving acting, he went back home and started farming with his father. Rajesh said, "After becoming a farmer, I had a debt of more than Rs 1.5 crore. My friends and family invested a whole year in this journey, which was the most difficult phase of my life. I was accountable to those who had given the loan. Money for me: my family, farmers and my wife."
Had to sell vegetables outside son's school
Rajesh also told that his startup did not work, so he had to sell vegetables to earn money. He remembered setting up a vegetable shop outside his son's school, where his son would ask his teachers to buy vegetables. My son's friends also used to tell in school that Vian's father is selling vegetables.
Rejected from Shark Tank India
Rajesh Kumar further revealed that he also auditioned for Shark Tank as a contestant but was rejected after two rounds of auditions. He thought that being an actor and a well-known data-face would help him get this offer, but it did not happen. Rajesh said that he was very disappointed and low on confidence after the failure.
“I applied for Shark Tank India. I cleared two out of three rounds. I had to submit my videos, so I thought, I might get a favour because I am a known data-face. Here is an actor, who is a social entrepreneur and is talking about agriculture. My presentation was in kolkata and it was done in a single day. My father paid for the tickets.
