Now famous businessman Elon Musk has said that tinnitus can be cured in five years with a chip in the brain. Neuralink is one such startup that has created a device called neuroprosthetic, which is also called brain-computer.

What is a brain-computer chip?

This Neuralink device is a small chip the data-size of a coin. This is called a link. This device is fitted to the human brain after surgery. This surgery is done by a robot. These robots connect the neurons of the brain with this chip and thousands of fiber shapes of the brain. The diameter of these fibers presents inside the brain is one-third of human hair.


This chip installed inside the human brain connects to an external computer via Bluetooth. Elon Musk claims that this chip installed in the brain can cure many diseases related to the human brain such as tinnitus. To cure diseases related to the brain, Neuralink company has been recruiting top neuroscientists from around the world since the year 2016 so that more good research can be done in this area.


Earlier, Neuralink conducted an experiment on a monkey in april 2021. The company released a video in which it was shown that the monkey started playing video games due to the chip being implanted in the brain of a monkey. However, there is still time for this experiment to be fully successful and available in the market.
