If your mobile phone comes into contact with water or is submerged in it, it's crucial to take prompt action to minimize potential harm. Adhere to these steps to enhance the likelihood of saving your device:

Power Down Immediately:

If your phone is still operational, switch it off right away. Do not attempt to use it or assess its functionality, as this could lead to a short circuit and exacerbate the damage.

Retrieve from Water:

Remove your phone from the water as swiftly as possible. Prolonged submersion increases the risk of harm.

Eliminate Accessories:

If your phone has any external accessories, such as a case or cover, remove them to prevent water from being trapped.

Dry the Exterior:

Gently pat your phone dry using a clean, dry cloth. Be cautious not to apply excessive pressure or rub the phone forcefully, as this could force water deeper into the device.

Extract SIM and Memory Cards:

Open the SIM card tray and take out both the SIM card and any memory cards. These components can be dried separately and are essential for data recovery in case your phone doesn't survive.

Utilize Desiccants:

Place your phone in a container filled with uncooked rice, silica gel packets, or another moisture-absorbing substance. These materials aid in moisture absorption. Leave your phone in the container for at least 24-48 hours.

Avoid Heat Sources:

Refrain from using appliances like hairdryers, microwaves, or ovens to hasten the drying process, as excessive heat can harm the internal components of your phone.
