At its much-awaited "Scary Fast" launch event on Monday, apple revealed the new iMac, MacBook Pro, and M3 CPUs. The concert, which was hosted online, sparked a lot of curiosity among computer fans because of its odd start time and catchy tagline—that it was taking place the night before Halloween.
The smaller 3-nanometer wire used in constructing the M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max allows for enhanced performance and longer battery life (22 hours). These are the "first personal computer chips," according to apple, produced with the 3-nanometer technology.
The enhanced GPU in the chips offers mesh shading, ray tracing, and dynamic caching, which maximizes the memory these devices consume when working on a job. Moreover, these have a 60-core CPU, a 40-core GPU, and unified memory up to 128 GB.
It will come with 14- and 16-inch versions with the latest M3 chips installed as CPUs. These will be available for pre-order on november 7 and start at $1599 for the 14-inch MacBook Pro and $2499 for the 16-inch MacBook Pro. A mini LED display, a 1080p camera, a 6-speaker sound system, a battery life of 22 hours, and ram up to 128 GB are among the features.
