Irregular Heart Rhythm Alert on Galaxy Watch!!
The IHRN feature works by continuously monitoring the user's heart rhythms with the Galaxy Watch's BioActive Sensor. If it detects a pattern of irregular heart rhythms that could indicate atrial fibrillation (AFib), it alerts the user. The notification prompts them to take an ECG with their watch for a more precise measurement. This addition aims to provide users with a more comprehensive view of their heart health by enhancing the existing blood pressure and heart rate monitoring features.
To activate this feature, users need to update the samsung Health Monitor app via the Galaxy Store and then enable IHRN from the app's settings menu. With IHRN, Galaxy watch users can now monitor additional aspects of their heart health. The feature utilizes Samsung’s BioActive Sensor and complements existing tools like on-demand ECG recording and an HR Alert function that identifies abnormally high or low heart rates, offering users a more comprehensive understanding of their cardiovascular health.
