Are mobile phones necessary for survival?

People have mixed opinions on this. Some people think that it makes life easier, while some think that it is a cause of trouble. The biggest question is whether people can live without a phone, people are divided on this issue. Pew Researchers conducted a survey in 11 countries. In kenya, vietnam, venezuela, south africa and the philippines, more than 63% people believed that the phone gives them freedom.

But in some countries people are confused about this. For example, in jordan, 46% people said that the phone gives freedom, 25% said that it binds, and 21% said that both things are not true. In Lebanon, 40% people said that the phone gives freedom, while 30% called it a bondage.

On the other hand, in these six countries, Mexico, colombia, india, the philippines, venezuela and Vietnam, more than half the people believe that they do not need a phone all the time. But in five countries - Jordan, Lebanon, south africa, tunisia and Kenya - most people say they can't live without a phone.

Mobile phone: saves time or wastes it?

Most people in seven countries believe their phone helps save time. Kenyans especially consider their phone a time saver. 84% of mobile phone users say their phone saves them time, while 14% believe it wastes their time. phone users in venezuela (71%), south africa (65%), india (64%), vietnam (63%), tunisia (54%) and colombia (50%) also believe that the phone saves time. But mobile phone users in jordan and the Philippines believe they waste more time on their phones. Mexican and Lebanese phone users are equally divided on this issue.
