Step-by-Step Guide: How to Remove Instagram’s Edits App and Manage Your Data Safely

Instagram occasionally releases companion apps, like Edits, which help you enhance photos and videos. If you no longer want to use the app—or are concerned about data privacy—you can safely uninstall it and manage your account data.

Step 1: Uninstall the Edits App

On Android:

Open Settings → Apps & notifications

Scroll to Instagram Edits or similar app

Tap Uninstall

Confirm by tapping OK

On iOS (iPhone/iPad):

Locate the app on your home Screen
