Alibaba Group comes with first Internet enabled car

Internet enabled cars used to be a dream sometime back. In the coming days people will be able to zoom past in internet enabled cars. Alibaba Group announced the launch of the first internet enabled car in collaboration with SAIC Motor Corp. 


OS'car, first YunOS is a smart operating system for cars and is a part of Internet of Things (IoT) strategy of Alibaba. Jack Ma, Executive Chairman of Alibab Group hoped to inject machines with human wisdom. 


The OS’Car RX5 is an Internet-connected car will be mass produced. The car will be on clod based platform enabling data streaming,modeling and reporting. Alibaba grop says they are creating car on internet and not internet in car. 

Features of YunOS for Car RX5

1. Takes direct commands through smart voice control.
2. Equipped with an intelligent map, location tracking without GPS or WiFi and automatic change in map zoom data-size based on the car speed.
3.Four detachable action cameras for video recordings and 360-degree selfies. Selfies can be shared by users instantly via connected smartphone.
4. First car with internet ID. The OS recognises drivers and provide a host of features like personalised internet services and preferred music and destinations.
5. The car ensures safe driving through the use of three integrated screens, including a large touch screen, LED dashboard and an intelligent rearview mirror.
6. OS’Car RX5 is priced at 99,800 Yuan to 186,800 Yuan.
