Tata invests Rs 3000 crore- Women Empowerment and Solar...!

While solar power generation is hugely supported in India, many companies, including Reliance, are planning and investing billions of rupees to increase solar panel production.



Although some companies in the solar power and solar panel sector have already set up production sites in tamil Nadu, the big company has not yet drawn up large scale investments.



In this context, the Tata Group, India's largest trading conglomerate, has embarked on a new project in tamil Nadu.



Tata Group

Tata Group's Solar Division plans to set up a 4 GW solar photovoltaic cell manufacturing plant in tamil Nadu in the tirunelveli district with an investment of about Rs 3000 crore. Through this project, the government of tamil Nadu will be able to easily achieve its plan to increase solar power generation over the next 10 years.

Negotiations between the Tata Group and the government of tamil Nadu on the solar cell factory are nearing completion. Tata Motors to set up a new plant in Gangaikondan.


Increase in electricity demand

Alternative power generation in tamil Nadu has become a much-needed necessity as the demand for electricity continues to increase from industrial to human consumption. While tamil Nadu had planned to promote solar power for this purpose, Tata's new solar plant will go a long way in achieving this goal.



The goal of the government of tamil Nadu

 The tamil Nadu government-controlled Tangedco has set a target of generating 25 gigawatts of renewable energy by 2030. It has set a target to generate 20 gigawatts of solar power, 3 gigawatts of hydroelectric and 2 gigabytes of gas and set up a factory and production site.



3000 crore

Currently, the Rs. 3000 crore solar power plant to be set up in the Gangaikondan area of tirunelveli district will provide employment to 2000 people in the area. Similarly, it has been reported that most of the staff will be women.



Tamil Nadu

The vikram Solar Plant with a capacity of 1.2 GW in tamil Nadu is on the sidelines and has also started a project for the First Loser Solar Factory in the United States. Following this, Tata Power Solar is currently planning to set up a Rs 3,000 crore solar power plant in Tirunelveli.
