Smriti Mandhana who is the opening cricketer of the indian women's team has been selected as the best player of 2021. Smriti Mandhana, who has played in almost 22 international matches last year, has got 855 runs with one hundred and five fifties. This is not the first time she is getting this award.

 This is the second time that Smriti Mandhana has been declared the Women's cricketer of the year 2021. Before, Smriti Mandhana was selected as the Best Athlete in the year 2018. Smriti Mandana was also selected as the best ODI player of that year. It is noteworthy that before Smriti Mandhana, only Ellyse Perry of australia was twice voted the women's cricketer of the Year. Smriti has shined against many countries like England, australia, and South Africa.

Among the men's cricket, Pakistan's young player Shahin Shah Afridi is the best cricketer of the year 2021. Shahin took 78 wickets in around 36 international matches. He took six wickets for 51 runs. When pakistan reached the semi-finals of the t20 World Cup, he took seven wickets in six matches.  In t20 format, he took 23 wickets in 21 matches.
