India's Original Food Search Engine Burrp is Now Back in a New Avatar
Earlier in October 2015, Burrp launched its new avatar with a new logo, a new colour, a new app, a new vision and a new approach. Burrp is India’s original food search engine and has re-vamped the product with enhanced features like dish discovery and 140 character tips, an events section and trending restaurants to provide the ultimate food discovery experience to its users.
With the food-tech sector growing at a rapid pace, these additional features will make it easier for users to search their favourite food or restaurant. Burrp is a brand that created the tech product vertical in the Indian food and beverage industry. Burrp has earlier led the industry, in all data-facets: brand, product and business. Talking about the new Burrp, Adil Zainulbhai, Chairman, Network 18 says, “We at Network 18 are excited about the innovative work that Burrp is doing and expect that they will achieve leadership in the food space even as others are undergoing turmoil.”
Burrp users can now effortlessly choose restaurant options by viewing the trending restaurants sections or by filtering the options by opting for dish discovery and updating themselves with the events and gigs around them. The editorial page, B! Diaries allows you to try dishes and places suggested by Burrp in-house experts and read food related stories.

With Burrp Tips users can leave helpful tips on what to eat, wear or do at a restaurant. Burrp users can pick a restaurant by comparing their choice to another restaurant with the similar section on the app. Speaking about the new features on the app, Abhishek Chhajlani, Co-Business Head, Burrp, says, “We are constantly aiming to provide users with the best possible search options. We aim to create the best experience while it comes to discovering food and dining out. The team is working round the clock to make this come true.” Pradeep Prabhu, Co-Business Head, Burrp adds, “With unique features, we hope to not only be useful to our users but also provide restaurateurs with valuable data.
We want to make Burrp a one-stop solution and intend to be present everywhere in the merchant-consumer ecosystem, doing what we know best, use data and technology to make a potentially bad experience good and a good experience awesome.” Burrp is currently present in 13 cities and plans to expand to 35 cities in the next 2 years. Burrp currently lists over 65,000 restaurants across these cities and is already present in over 25,000 restaurants. Burrp is gunning not to occupy a vacant space in the market, but do what it’s best at, create a new one! The Burrp app can now be downloaded through the Google Play Store and Apple App store.
