It is the decision of the kerala government State Higher education minister R bindu said the provision that women teachers must wear sarees and come to the institute was very old and had been out of date for a long time.

They made it clear that the decision to wear comfortable clothing was their personal and that no one else had the right to interfere.

However, should they wear sarees? Wearing other clothes that are not vulgar .. that are comfortable for them?

There are many responsibilities in the teaching profession, so why not wear other dresses that are suitable for their comfort? Some women teachers are questioning.

Why the responsibility of wearing a saree is pushing. The kerala government has taken a key decision on such complaints.

Kerala Higher education minister R bindu has made it clear that it is not right for women teachers to wear sarees for the sake of progress. Anyone can have the right to wear their favorite dress. She explained that others have no right to interfere.

The Ministry of Higher education issued a circular in this regard on Friday. She explained that most of the educational institutions in the state had come to their notice that women teachers were enforcing the rule of wearing sarees.

Moreover, Higher education minister bindu said in a statement that pushing the rule that women teachers should wear sarees was against the attitude of progress in Kerala.

Minister bindu previously worked as a professor at varma college in Thrissur, Kerala. She said she used to wear a churidar regularly when she was in charge as a professor.

Minister bindu said that teachers have many responsibilities and it is not right to push this unnecessary responsibility on them.

She said the practice of women teachers wearing sarees was ancient and had been around for a long time. She recalled that the state government had issued a circular in this regard in 2014 as well.

However, she said that she was aware that most educational institutions in the state were forcibly enforcing the same norm and hence the higher education department would issue this circular once again.
