National
girl Child Day: Save
girl, Save Generations..!
The month of
january 24th is celebrated as National
girl Child Day. It focuses on inequalities that are faced by all girls and also promotes the health, education, and nutrition of all-girl children. It spreads more awareness for the rights of the
girl child. The Ministry of
women and Child Development and the
government of
india had made an initiative in 2008. This day was started to spread awareness to
people about the inequalities faced by the girls.
The
government also had started many schemes and campaigns for the growth of
girl children in the country. The Theme will be different for every year. Last year, it was 'Digital Generation, Our Generation'. But this year's theme is not announced yet.
The Ministry of
culture had started an
event titled 'Umang
rangoli Utsav'. The contestants had to put
rangoli decorations in various locations in India. A very long kilometer of
rangoli will be made on the streets. PM Modi had felicitated all the winners of PMRBP.
Hillary Clinton once said that To all little girls, don't doubt whether girls are valuable or not and they will achieve their dreams. When girls are educated, the whole country becomes more powerful and even more prosperous. This was said by Michelle Obama.
