RRR, directed by SS rajamouli and starring jr ntr, ram Charan, ajay Devgn, and alia bhatt, is one of the most anticipated movies of the year, set to hit theatres in january 7, 2022. However, according to current sources, the historical action drama may be delayed due to an increase in Omicron instances. According to Andhra Weekly, distributors of RRR's hindi version have reportedly asked the filmmakers to push back the release date because maharashtra theatres are still at maximum.
During the Pre-release event at Chennai, siva karthikeyan said, "RRR is the start to 2022 and following it ajith Sir's Valimai will be coming..." and as soon as he said these words, there has been a huge noise from the crowd with lots of whistles and howling. siva karthikeyan also requested the fans to wear masks and sanitize the hands before entering the theater as cinema industry can't bear another lockdown.
Siva karthikeyan also thanked the tamil Nadu Goverment for not taking any hasty decision as the movie industry is already facing a bad phase and crisis stage. He also welcomed tarak and RC into tamil Film industry and also stepping up and making dialogues on their own voices in the dubbing studio.
