 Suzuki Motor Corporation has distanced itself from the controversial social media post on kashmir by Suzuki dealerships in Pakistan. The company has clarified that its Pakistani associates had posted messages related to Kashmir. It issued a statement on tuesday evening in which it distanced itself from a tweet on 'struggle for freedom in Kashmir' by an 'independently owned dealer' in Pakistan. Facing heavy protests in india on the said tweet, Suzuki Motor declared the social media post unauthorized. Suzuki has said in its statement that following the controversy, it has taken strict measures to ensure that the brand is not misused.
Maruti Suzuki, in its statement on tuesday, said that Suzuki Motor Corporation apologizes to the people of india, adding that the controversial social media posts were not authorized by the company. Before this, only KFC hyundai, Kia had apologized to these companies. KFC wrote that they apologize for the posts made from some social media channels of KFC outside the country. They respect india and proudly stand by our commitment to serving all Indians. At the same time, Kia has also expressed concern in this matter. Suzuki has also apologized.
The pakistan unit of South Korean automaker hyundai had shared a controversial post on february 5, sharing a solidarity message on social media on Kashmir.
