A man who looked weird approached the polling booth, had tried to strip off the clothes he was wearing, and hung a banner around his neck in a semi-nude pose to perpetuate the work of the jewelry appraisers. He was detained by police on security duty at the time. Thus he got into an argument with the police. He was later persuaded by police to put on his clothes and allow him to vote.
Mahesh babu, who hails from Senthamizh Nagar, Sivagangai district, is working as a jewelry appraiser in a private bank. He is also the Executive Chairman of the State Jewelry Appraisers Association.

At this point, mahesh babu came to register his vote at the polling booth set up at Sivagangai Maruthupandiyarnagar High School. Urban local body elections across tamil Nadu are being held in a single phase starting from 7 am today. All political parties are actively preparing for this. 

The campaign for the urban local elections ended last thursday at 6 p.m. Following this, the State election commission is actively working on the local elections. Celebrities like Actors Vijay, Surya, karthi have cast their votes today.
