Friend died in Road Accident - Other Friends donate blood on remembarance
On the anniversary of the death of a young guy who died in a car accident near salem after bleeding heavily, his friends gave blood to raise public awareness. Shanmugam is from the Kaiputhur neighbourhood of Salem's Attayampatti district. Srinivasan (26) worked for a construction company in Trichy as an engineer. He was critically injured in a traffic accident on march 9, 2019, while heading from Trichy to Attayampatti on a two-wheeler. He fell unconscious on the roadside. Due to a head injury and extensive blood, Srinivasan died.
The incident caused his classmates and friends a tremendous deal of distress. As a result, they decided to raise public awareness about the importance of donating blood to those receiving medical care for road accidents. On Memorial Day, his classmates and friends agreed to donate blood and pay honour to his friend Srinivasan.
As a result, on the first anniversary of the year 2020, 25 friends visited the salem government Hospital's blood bank and donated blood. Friends shopped for Srinivasan's Memorial Day yesterday after donating blood for the past two years on Friend's Remembrance Day (9th). Following that, friends organised a blood donation camp at Attaiyampatti Kaiputhur to commemorate the third anniversary. At Rasipuram government Hospital, more than 35 persons donated blood in the presence of blood bank doctors.
