SpiceJet plane crashes in mid-flight..!? Injured passengers!
The flight maintenance engineer has been fired by the air Traffic Regulatory Authority. The SpiceJet private passenger plane took off from mumbai for Durgapur airport in West bengal at 5 pm yesterday. The plane shook violently when it landed. The pilot, however, controlled it. The plane then came to a smooth stop. Bags containing belongings kept above the head of the passengers in the incident fell on them. During the incident around forty people were injured. This has been confirmed by SpiceJet officials.
The passengers injured in the incident were immediately rushed to a local hospital for treatment. Some of them received first aid and returned home. Some are in treatment. One of the passengers was admitted to Diamond Hospital with a head injury, while the other passenger was admitted to Mission Hospital with a spinal injury. Both are in the intensive care unit. However, airport sources said that everyone was out of danger.
In this regard, the air Traffic Regulatory Authority (DGCA) has listed the employees of the SpiceJet flight crew involved. The flight maintenance engineer was fired by the air Traffic Regulatory Authority for allowing the flight from Durgapur to kolkata before a formal investigation.

The DGCA released several startling information during the investigation. In an emergency, the pilots had to manually control the aircraft for several minutes, as the ‘automatic pilot’ that automatically controlled the aircraft was disconnected. Also, the plane shook violently several times during landing. It is learned that the oxygen masks fell and the luggage and other belongings of the passengers rolled on the ground. The investigation is ongoing.
