Rachel McAdams had no idea one of her Game Night remarks had become a meme. Despite being nominated for an Academy Award for her portrayal in the 2016 drama Spotlight, McAdams is best recognised for her romantic lead and humorous roles, beginning with her breakout appearance as Regina George in Mean Girls as the head of the Plastics. One of McAdams' most well-known roles to date was as Christine Palmer in the 2016 film doctor Strange, a position she reprises in the sequel doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Another of McAdams' outstanding comedic performances was in the 2018 film Game Night, which reminded fans of how funny the oscar nominee can be. The action-comedy, directed by john Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, follows McAdams and Jason Bateman as a couple whose monthly game night with friends becomes a real-life mystery after one of them is kidnapped by ostensible burglars. Although one remark made by McAdams when she sees an assassin ("Oh, no, he died!") has become a viral internet meme, Game Night is full with wild scenes and quotable language.
McAdams was questioned about her opinions on the line live on and continuing to pop up in internet areas during an interview with IndieWire promoting doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The actress, on the other hand, admitted she had no idea her four-word Game Night line had become such a hit on the internet.
