iPhone still works after ten months underwater..!?
Owain Davies graduated from the UK in
august 2021 with a bachelor's degree. To celebrate it he attended a graduation
party held near the Wye River near Cinderford. He accidentally threw his
iphone into the river. He then returned
home thinking it was impossible to retrieve the
phone from the river.
About ten months later, Miguel Pacheco went canoeing with his family on the same river. During his voyage, he finds Owain Davies'
iphone trapped inside a river. What happened next was a great miracle. Miguel went
home, wiped the sinking
iphone clean, dried it well, and went to sleep.
The next day he tried to fully charge the phone. Luckily the
phone went charging. He turned on the
phone after a short charge. The
iphone worked like new without any problems. And that
phone showed the date of
august 13th. I.e. the date it fell into the river. He then took photos of the entire
event and posted them on
facebook in an attempt to put the
iphone in its proper place.
That post by him was shared 4000 times. But the owner of the
iphone does not use Facebook. Thus he could not see the post. Then some of Owain's friends saw this post. They identified the photo in it and informed Owain Davies.
What then? The owner came running and happily got his lost phone. Current
iphone models come with Water Proof. But it is noteworthy that the
phone that fell was not waterproof. That, too, seems like an unnatural thing for an electrical device that has been submerged in water for 10 months to function again without being damaged.
