An airport in germany is asking passengers to carry colorful luggage. German tourists have been advised by Frankfurt airport authorities to bring colorful boxes or luggage to airports. Officials believe that carrying colored luggage will help airport attendants find it easier, as black suitcases are difficult to distinguish. Frankfurt airport spokesman Thomas Kirner said that if passengers travel with many black suitcases, it takes longer to identify them.
He said that although the number of suitcases has decreased in recent weeks, there are still several suitcases that have been misplaced or never reached their owners. Around 2,000 suitcases are currently sitting at Frankfurt airport, waiting to reach their destination.
Meanwhile, Frankfurt airport President Stefan Schulte commented that the mostly black suitcases had caused a range of difficulties for airlines and baggage handlers in recent weeks.
While the airport has recommended that passengers add labels with their names and addresses to their luggage, the police have advised them not to do so, saying it poses a security risk. This appeal by the airport will make the security jobs easier so that they can identify the suitcase soon. This appeal has been welcomed by many.
