Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantumania trailer - After Thanos, it's Kang
Scott Lang and his team are sent to the Quantum Realm where they encounter Marvel's next major villain after Thanos, as shown in the first teaser for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. According to ANI, the longer than two-minute teaser features Jonathan Majors in the role of Kang; however, this is a different Kang from the one who will later become the main antagonist of the upcoming Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and the Marvel Multiverse Saga.
In the Disney+ series Loki, Jonathan has previously played a character known as He Who Remains. Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), Evangeline Lilly's Hope Van Dyne, Michael Douglas' Hank Pym, and Janet Van Dyne are the main characters of Quantumania (Michelle Pfeiffer).
According to The hollywood Reporter, Cassie, Scott's daughter, is aged up as a result of the five-year time jump in Avengers: Endgame and is played by Kathryn Newton, a rookie to Marvel. director of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Peyton Reed tweeted earlier today that fans of Marvel should "fasten their seatbelts" before the teaser was released.
Reed previously revealed to EW in July at San Diego Comic-Con, "We were pleased to be able to complete the Ant-Man trilogy with a third film, but we knew there would need to be some changes made. The plot of these familial dynamics and everything that is happening between Scott, Hope, and Cassie needed to advance, so we really wanted to take a sharp left turn and make a movie that was even more epic."
