The Pakistani bride was dressed in a beautiful green lehenga with a multicolored choli and a red dupatta. During the wedding, they were made to sit on one side of the scale, while large bricks of gold were placed on the other side. The wedding was celebrated lavishly in bollywood style with a grand and grand backdrop.

However, the bride's family clarified that the gold bricks used were not real, but were plated with gold. Earlier, in an interview with 'Khaleej Times', the couple had clarified that the gold bricks were not real, but gold plated.
In an interview with 'Gulf Today', the bride had given the reason for including the ritual of weighing herself in gold in the nikah. He had said that the theme of the wedding was 'Jodha Akbar'. Every member of the family was dressed accordingly. The bride had said, "If you watch the film, there is a scene where the bride is weighed in gold. We essentially recreated that scene to stay true to the theme we had chosen. Sona Taulana Hamari Shaadi Ka was an integral part. We never thought that the video would go viral like this. We came to know about its viral status the next day through our photographer, which took us by surprise."
