Visa-free increased the interest of indians towards Malaysia, eight lakh tourists visited this year.
Noria Jafar, director of the malaysia Tourism Department in Mumbai, said that a free visa has had a positive impact, which has increased the interest of indian tourists towards Malaysia.After getting the facility of visa-free travel, the interest of indian tourists has increased towards Malaysia. From january to september 2024, 8,15,160 indian tourists reached malaysia, whereas last year during this period 2,83,885 Indian tourists visited Malaysia. In this way, 5 lakh more indian tourists visited Malaysia compared tolast year.
Noria Jafar, director of the malaysia Tourism Department in Mumbai, said that a free visa has had a positive impact, which has increased the inclination of indian tourists towards Malaysia. Noria Jafar said that the Malaysian government had started free visas for india and china last year to promote tourism, which has received a good response. She said that in these 9 months, the number of tourists going to malaysia from india has increased by 8.2 percent. A visa-free travel facility has been provided to indian tourists till 31 December.
