The delhi government has launched the "Maa yamuna Swachhta Abhiyan" in schools across the capital, aiming to raise focus on the importance of cleansing and retaining the yamuna River.

Leader minister Rekha Gupta emphadata-sized that the initiative seeks to instill a feeling of duty in college students towards environmental conservation, mainly focusing on the river that holds cultural significance.

Officials said that the primary intention of the campaign is to sensitize young minds to the essential problem of the Yamuna's pollution and to connect them with the countrywide cleanliness movement.

"The cleaning of the yamuna is an issue that issues us deeply. Through this college program, we need to send a sturdy message to youngsters that the health of the river is critical to us all," the leader minister stated.

Water minister Parvesh Verma supported the marketing campaign, highlighting that the river isn't only a natural resource but also the lifeline of Delhi.

He referred to that, inspired by prime minister Modi's Swachhata Abhiyan, the "Maa yamuna Swachhta Abhiyan" seeks to involve kids in environmental conservation. "If we educate kids about rivers and nature, they'll develop into responsible residents who will contribute to a cleaner, greener India," Verma added.

The marketing campaign will characterize numerous activities, which include essay writing and painting competitions, recognition walks, and cultural events. Moreover, the delhi Jal Board, in partnership with the Directorate of Education, will provide schools with vital resources, consisting of academic substances and awareness kits, to help spread the message of cleanliness and river conservation.

Via this initiative, the delhi government hopes to empower the next era to actively participate in the preservation of the yamuna and the environment at large.
