  • N. Prasad (Motorman, Kalyan) – While driving Khopoli local, he sensed an unusual jerk and discovered a broken rail head, preventing a major accident.
  • Gangesh Kumar (Train Manager, CSMT) – Noticed a track maintainer’s warning and promptly halted another local, saving lives from a potential rail fracture mishap.
  • Vinod Kalu Mhatre (Track Maintainer, Kalyan) – Detected the same rail fracture at Diva-Mumbra section and acted immediately.
  • Naresh Vasant Ghare (Track Maintainer, Karjat) – During monsoon patrolling, spotted dislocation of track formation and safeguarded the section.
  • Ram Anant Mune (Track Maintainer, Neral) – Identified a rail fracture on Badlapur–Vangani section and ensured it was secured.
  • Vishal Bansode (Electric Signal Maintainer, Kalva) – While on signal duty, noticed a rail fracture and raised an alert in time.

 3. Solapur Division’s Silent Guardians

Two employees from Solapur Division also bagged the honour for their alertness.

  • Manish Kumar (Technician, Kurduwadi) – Detected a broken G-Jumper in the Overhead Equipment (OHE) during an inspection.
  • Vikas Kumar Pandit (Technician, Latur) – Spotted a damaged pantograph plate on a goods train and averted possible danger.
Their proactive measures ensured uninterrupted and safe train movement.


 4. nagpur Division’s Watchful Eye

  • Nilesh (Pointsman, Malkhed) – While exchanging signals with a goods train, he observed a hot axle in one of the wagons. His swift red-flag warning and report to the Station master prevented a fire hazard or derailment.

 5. pune Division’s Safety Saviour

  • Vishwamitra Kumar Yadav (Technician, Daund) – During a rolling-in examination, he noticed a fault in the CBC coupling of a wagon. Closer inspection revealed a broken yoke, which could have caused a derailment. His alertness saved lives and property.

 6. Leadership’s Words of Appreciation

Congratulating the awardees, General Manager Dharam Veer Meena said:

“Such acts of alertness and dedication will motivate others to sincerely work towards the safety of passengers and avert loss of life, freight, and railway property.”
