Chennai/Coimbatore/Erode (Tamil Nadu) — The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) has scheduled daytime power outages on Monday, january 12, 2026 and in the days around it as part of routine monthly maintenance and network improvement work. These planned outages will affect electricity supply in several districts and localities across the state.

  • The outages are mostly planned during daytime hours (typically between 9 am and 4 pm) to allow TANGEDCO technicians to carry out maintenance on power lines, transformers and other grid infrastructure.
