Chief Minister M.K. Stalin Inaugurates Renovated Statue of Kalaivanar N.S. Krishnan in Chennai

Chennai: tamil Nadu chief minister M.K. Stalin on tuesday inaugurated the renovated statue of Kalaivanar N.S. Krishnan at the Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai. The renovation was undertaken to preserve and honor the legacy of the legendary artist, social reformer, and pioneer of tamil theatre and cinema.

Speaking at the event, the chief minister paid rich tribute to Kalaivanar N.S. Krishnan, highlighting his immense contribution to tamil culture, cinema, and the Dravidian movement. He noted that Kalaivanar used humor and satire as powerful tools to spread social awareness, rationalist thought, and progressive values among the masses.

The renovated statue stands as a symbol of respect for Kalaivanar’s enduring influence on tamil society and his role in shaping socially conscious art. The chief minister emphadata-sized the state government’s commitment to preserving cultural heritage and honoring icons who played a significant role in tamil Nadu’s social and cultural history.

Several senior ministers, artists, cultural figures, and members of the public were present during the inauguration ceremony. The event marked a moment of pride for Chennai, reaffirming the importance of art and culture in promoting social change.
