Chennai: Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) leader Anbumani Ramadoss has welcomed the first set of policy decisions signed by tamil Nadu chief minister Vijay, which reportedly focus on women’s safety and anti-drug measures.

According to the statement, chief minister Vijay’s initial administrative approvals include key initiatives aimed at:

  • Strengthening women’s safety mechanisms
  • Implementing stricter measures against drug abuse
  • Enhancing public security frameworks

While welcoming the initiatives, Anbumani Ramadoss also emphadata-sized the need for further reforms in social justice policies. He specifically urged the government to conduct an immediate community-wise socio-economic survey (caste-based survey) to protect the existing 69% reservation framework in tamil Nadu.

He stated that such a survey, often referred to as a “social justice census,” is essential for ensuring fair representation and protecting reservation rights for various communities.

Anbumani highlighted that tamil Nadu’s reservation system must be safeguarded through updated and accurate data. He added that policy decisions should reflect current social realities to strengthen inclusive development.
