Heavy Rain Likely in 19 Districts of Tamil Nadu, Says Weather Department

The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) has forecast heavy rainfall in 19 districts of tamil Nadu over today and tomorrow due to prevailing atmospheric conditions. The weather department has advised people living in vulnerable and low-lying areas to remain cautious.

According to the latest weather bulletin, districts including Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Erode, Tiruppur, Salem, Tirupathur, and Vellore are expected to receive heavy rain during the next 48 hours.

Districts Expected to Receive Heavy Rain

The weather department stated that widespread rainfall activity is likely across western and northern parts of tamil Nadu. Several districts may experience thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds.

Fishermen and Public Advised to Remain Alert

Officials have advised fishermen to carefully follow weather updates before venturing into the sea, as rough weather conditions may prevail in certain coastal regions.

People residing near riverbanks, hilly areas, and low-lying regions have also been urged to remain alert due to the possibility of waterlogging and localized flooding.

Temperature Likely to Drop

With continuous rainfall expected in several regions, temperatures are likely to decrease across many parts of the state. Pleasant weather conditions are anticipated in hill stations and western districts.

Local administrations have been instructed to monitor the situation and take precautionary measures to handle any emergency arising from heavy rainfall.
